This is a story about pajama shorts that look like Christmas, were meant for summer, and didn’t get finished until autumn. I made them from an old pair of GAP Christmas pajama pants. They’re basically cut-offs, and then I added vivacious pink bias tape around the hem, because I happened to have it in my notions stash. I also replaced the old red drawstring with matching pink bias tape. I was hoping the pink would make the shorts look less Christmas-y, but I’m not sure if I quite pulled it off. It doesn’t matter anyway, now I have a new pair of pajama shorts, just in time to replace the one old pair I had, whose elastic has stretched beyond its use. One pair isn’t enough, since I’ve been over-heating in my summer pajama pants, but for now it’s a start. Soon I’m going to use some lavender satin remnants to make these shorts.
